Instead of a royal throne, they mocked Him.
Instead of a jeweled crown, they forced a crown of thorns on His head.
Instead of a regal staff, they gave Him a cross.
Instead of worshipping at His feet, they spit on Him.
Instead of praises to the king; they slapped Him…and they laughed.
Where are the crowds? Where are the Hosannas to the King, now? (Copyright M C McConnell 2005)
These are sobering reminders of the true cost of our redemption. As we ponder and reflect on Christ’s sacrifice this Easter, may we rejoice in the freedoms it provides...freedom from death, hell, sin and satan himself. It is the gift that never fades and never fails. Chancel Choir is now preparing Come and See His Glory, a powerful portrayal of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. Please consider singing with us.
JOY Singer outings are times of blessing for all – singers and listeners alike. The settings are often different, but the love of Jesus is boldly proclaimed and His bond of blessing, joy, and fellowship is universal. Don’t miss God’s special blessing for you – join us today.
“The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” Psalm 37:23-24 NLT
