do you know jesus?Many people believe that because they have lived a good life, done charity work, been baptized as a child, attended church, or treated others fairly they will go to heaven. Nothing could be further from the truth. God created us not for
a mortal lifetime, but for a glorious eternity with Him. We each
have God loved us so much that he sent his son that we might have life everlasting. (John 3:16). The Bible tells us of God's love and the peace we can know by accepting His gift of eternal life. First, we must realize that we are all sinners. (Romans 3:23) We need to admit that we aren't good enough to go to heaven on our own merit. We've all done and said things we know were wrong. We need to admit that. Next, we need to admit that we truly believe Jesus is God's Son and that God sent Jesus to die on the cross at Calvary as a substitute for our sins. Jesus is the only way to heaven. (John 14:6) There is no other way. We must tell God that we are are truly sorry and mean it and ask God to forgive us. We must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in our heart that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and was raised on the third day to save us from our sins. (Romans 10:9-10) There are no magic formulas or rituals. Salvation is a gift of God. Just call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved! Romans 10:13 promises us that “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Will you pray the following prayer with me right now?
