Alta Woods Women On Missions

The title is an accurate description of what this truly is. We women are organized to engage in mission activity. We meet as a large group once a month and the men meet with us and call it the General Meeting. This is the first Tuesday morning each month, gathering at 9:30 for refreshments and beginning the meeting at 9:45. Missionaries who are available are invited to speak as well as others directly involved in our Southern Baptist Mission work. Our ladies are organized into several smaller groups who meet on different days of the month to work and accomplish the overall goals for the month.

Roundtable is a monthly mission luncheon on the 4th Tuesdays at noon, the program of which centers around a mission oriented book review.

We have a monthly mission emphasis in which we minister to a mission work in our area.

We do fully support our Southern Baptist missionaries through our regular weekly offerings as well as 3 special offerings taken during the year solely for the support of mission work.

We take all the words of our Lord personally, especially those found in the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 28, verses 18-20, "Go ye... to all nations..." (Put your mouse here to see the whole verse!)

While we cannot all physically go, we can give our prayers and
our finances faithfully to support those who do go in Jesus' name.
